1. What is the difference between the compounds of Schwalbe tyres?
It would easy be to list the different compounds as Hard, Medium and soft. Medium-Hard is a high mileage road touring tyre: I.e. the Classic and Powertrack. 2. If the Raceman and Weatherman use the same compound
what is the difference?
The Raceman is an all round sport road/race tyre. Until a year ago (2007)
it was Schwalbe's flagship Race tyre, but is also very suited for all round
road use. 3. If the Powertrack and Classic have the same rubber
compound what is the difference between them?
The Classic has a speed testing of 62mph which is just like all other makes
of tyre, this does not mean it not safe above these speeds. It is the ideal
looking and performing tyre for classic style mod and retro restoration Scooters
in all weather conditions. 4. My rear tyre wears more than my front tyre, Why?
Simple, The rear tyre has all the weight on it and is the driven wheel! Therefore
it creates more heat and has more wear and tear. Choose a harder compound
tyre for the rear to help the tyre last longer. Other Vespa Articles: Tyre Size, Tyre Compound, Best Tyre Combination, Wheel Rims, Gearing, Tyre Pressures, Tyre Rotation. |
