MB's first group six racer, we got a win and beat Guy Topper who always used to win. The start of winning ways, we won various championships. Two years later we even won the European championships twice. |
This is a group 5 150cc racer with a TS1 engine. |
It was painted orange and green (as were all the teams scooters), I loved it - everyone hated it BUT you saw them coming. |
This bike ended up at 25hp 150cc, it won loads of races both in the UK and Europe. It won the UK championship and beat most group 6 250cc engines. It even broke the riders collarbone!! |
My favourite racer ridden by my favourite mate Rob Miller. It's been rebuilt on a number of occasions as Rob doesn't know when to slow down (usually crashes while leading the field!). |
This is on collection day the first time. It ended up at 25hp and set the pace for other dealers to follow. We then pulled out and Rob retired. At close to 50 years old he's up for it again!! |
This bike has set the fastest accelerating full bodywork 200cc record at, I think, 14.20 seconds for a quarter mile standing start. The bike is now a ROAD bike and this race engine did the euro lambretta in Ireland two up! |
Sprinter number 2, number 1 was white and green. It's second run did a quarter mile standing start in 13.50secs with a terminal speed of 98mph. 40hp on a lambretta barrel. |
Sprinter number 2 again. You never new which direction the bike was going to go when you dumped the clutch. That's good fun!! |
The MB team in 1996 in the Czech republic, all five came in top 8. Mark came last in first practice, 2nd last in 2nd practice, 8th in first race and 6th in 2nd race (out of 45 people) then had to go home. Not bad for first time round a race track!! Business commitments just didn't allow time for track racing. Left it to others to win! |
That little scooter holds Mark's weight whilst warming up for a sprint! |
The latest MBD sprinter. |
The main man being silly at some washed out sprint meeting. Super lite bike!! 13 second 1/4 mile standing starts every time we take it out. |
